Our mission is practical neighbor-to-neighbor expressions of God's love. Over 10,000 projects have been self-selected, organized and completed by volunteers since 2003. It's really, really hard to not get straight up angry when I see a homeowner's overgrown lawn or other obvious needs, they're visibly elderly or disabled, and they're surrounded by able-bodied neighbors completely ignoring their vulnerability. What happened to immediate neighbors taking care of each other? I'm grateful NeighborLink Fort Wayne exists, but get so frustrated that it needs to exist to begin with.
After 21 years of outsourcing the NeighborLink platform to other agencies, we have officially hired Brett Meyer, founder of Impact Upgrade, as our Tech Director. Brett will help us continue making the NeighborLink platform a low-barrier gift of love for neighbors in need, neighbors who want to help, and organizations or churches who want to connect those in need with those who want to help!
