Everyone deserves quality health care
About us
At Neighborcare Health, we believe everyone deserves a place to call their health care home, where a team of medical, dental and mental health professionals work in collaboration with each patient to develop a personal health improvement plan. We are the largest provider of primary medical, dental and behavioral health care services in the Seattle area serving low-income and uninsured families and individuals, seniors on fixed incomes, immigrants, and the homeless. Each year we care for about 60,000 patients at our nearly 30 non-profit medical, dental and school-based clinics. We ask everyone to pay what they can, but no one is turned away due to inability to pay. Our clinics are located in neighborhoods where health disparities are the greatest, and our care teams, who speak over 55 languages and dialects, are as diverse as our patients. No matter who you are, or where you come from, regardless of your insurance, income or immigration status, you are welcome at Neighborcare Health.

Our Ballard clinic team provides medical care, mental health care and so many other supportive services for adults who are experiencing or recently experienced homelessness. It's a small space but has a tremendous impact. This recent note to the team shows just how much. The note says: "To everyone at Neighborcare who helped me make it this far, and given true care and compassion, THANK YOU. I couldn't have done this without you. and having real hope and optimism for my future, in large part because of you... Thank you, from the bottom of my heart." #HealthEquity #CommunityHealth #Healthcare #SeattleNonProfit #NeighborcareHealth #PugetSound #ValueCHCs

Early bird ticket prices end 9/28 for Feast at the Market. Don't wait to get your tickets for a progressive meal from top restaurants, brewers and vintners in the Market to support health equity. neighborcare.org/feast. What do we mean by health equity? Many patients seen through our HHOT (Housing Health Outreach Team) program have deep mistrust or fear of health care systems, often rooted in trauma and barriers to care. When a case manager at one of our partner permanent supportive housing residences noticed a resident in pain, a Neighborcare nurse was able to convince him to accept help. It can take years to build trust with those who have fallen through the cracks in our medical system. Neighborcare staff are there to forge these relationships, one day at a time.

August 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day, a day to remember without stigma those we've lost and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind. We can all help to #EndOverdose. Since 2019, the number of overdose deaths has increased exponentially in King County. The most disproportionately impacted communities in King County are: • People experiencing homelessness and people living in temporary or supportive housing • American Indian and Alaskan Native (non-Hispanic) and Black (non-Hispanic) residents • Communities located in Seattle and South King County. Opioid overdose is life-threatening and requires immediate emergency attention. Recognizing the signs of opioid overdose is essential to saving lives.
