Our Community Schools grantees and partners visited three grant sites recently at the Southern Regional Alliance for Community Schools convening in Little Rock, Arkansas! Special thanks to Booker T. Washington Elementary School's fantastic hospitality as grantees interacted with students, educators, and local community leaders.

The NEA Foundation announces the five public school educators from across the country who will receive the 2025 Horace Mann Award for Teaching Excellence, one of the highest honors in public education. The awards will be presented at the Salute to Excellence in Education Gala on February 14, 2025, in Washington, D.C. The Southern Regional Alliance For Community Schools recently covered for their quarterly gathering in Little Rock, Arkansas. Grantees visited our Community School sites, Chicot Elementary & Early Childhood Center, Booker T. Washington Elementary, and McDermott Elementary School. During the visits, grantees toured the schools, learned more about key resources, and interacted with students and staff.
