The Metro Maryland (MetroMD) Chapter of The National Contract Management Association is committed to furthering NCMA’s mission to educate the profession and broader government contracting community and foster the exchange of innovative ideas.
MetroMD’s mission is to expand the reach and impact of the NCMA east of the Potomac River. Specifically, the MetroMD chapter proposes to fill a gap in the region by having an NCMA chapter that serves Prince George’s County and the surrounding area (i.e. Charles County and Southern Anne Arundel County).
The Chapter’s founding leadership’s vision is to provide a convenient and welcoming NCMA hub in their local community and provide local community members access to the numerous benefits of the organization.
The MetroMD area represents more than a quarter of the region’s federal workforce. This new chapter provides an opportunity for members to invest in their local community.
Our goal is for it to be a neutral and welcoming environment where these professionals can become NCMA members and then grow personally and professionally through training, mentoring and by expanding their network within the local and greater NCMA communities.
We are thrilled to celebrate our very own Kameke M. on her recent appointment to the Senior Executive Service! Her dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence have led her to this significant milestone.

Jackie Robinson-Burnette serves as the associate administrator of the Office of Government Contracting and Business Development (GCBD) at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Jackie’s 34-year career in the United States Department of Defense has seen her execute numerous assignments around the globe. Her experience includes serving as Deputy Director for Small Business Programs at the Pentagon and Associate Director for Small Business Programs at the HQ US Army Corps of Engineers, where she led the corps to exceed its small business goals for the first time in history.
Mrs. Robinson Burnette’s leadership extends beyond operations and into policy and innovative change management. As MetroMD prepares for the 2025 program year, we want to make sure we deliver programming that's both engaging and enlightening. We need your help to choose the topic for the year’s first dinner meeting! Here are four options:
* Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU). Discover how the OSDBU office assists small businesses in navigating federal contracting, offering insights and strategies to succeed at their agencies.
* Key Players. Gain insights into the distinct roles of the acquisition team, specifically, the CO, COR, and PCR as well as how each are instrumental in the acquisition lifecycle.
Emerging Leaders in Government Contracting (GovCon). Focus on the next generation of leaders within the GovCon sector, exploring their challenges, opportunities, and paths to success.
* Primes Contracts with SB Requirements (Primes). Explore how prime contractors shape requirements and the potential for small businesses to engage and collaborate with them in the federal marketplace.
We value your input and want to get a discussion started. If your preferred topic is not one of the four, add it in the comment section. Even if it does not become the topic of the August dinner meeting, we can still consider it for the 2025 Program Year.
