From NICU patient to NICU nurse! Get to know Hayley. She started as a NICU nurse at Nationwide Children's this month, after being a patient in the NICU 22 years ago! She and her twin sister, Hillary, were delivered at 24 weeks with Hayley weighing 1 pound and 9 oz. Hayley's aunt Kimberly (pictured on the right) was in college when Hayley was in our NICU. Kimberly was inspired by Hayley's journey in the NICU leading her to become a nurse practitioner on the unit! Hayley was then inspired by Kimberly and the other nurses on the NICU that took care of her, leading her to become a NICU nurse herself. To learn more about her amazing story, you can read her recent feature in PEOPLE Magazine | PEOPLE.com at https://bit.ly/3XnyxN5 #LifeAtNCH

Have you ever looked up when walking through the hospital? If you have, you might have noticed birds flying overhead! We know nature has a powerful effect on healing. It is just one reason why we brought nature’s animals inside for our patients and their families to see and experience within our buildings! 🦋 #LifeAtNCH
