Trusted to help thousands of families with their final needs for over four decades.

About us

When we founded National Cremation in 1973, we set out to help families that choose cremation for their final needs by providing a simple and affordable cremation service. Today, hundreds of thousands of families later, we are the nation’s oldest and largest provider of cremation services, still helping families plan. We have learned from our client families along the way. We have learned that individuals and families choose cremation for a variety of reasons. Many choose cremation for the low cost and simplicity; others to reduce their eternal land use. Over the years, we’ve become not only cremation specialists, but cremation experts. National Cremation appreciates the opportunity to work with you and your family and show you how simple cremation can be. Whether you have an immediate need at the time of death or are preplanning cremation for a future need, you are sure to find that our cremation services meet your needs.

  • NCS Port Charlotte Service Manager Gloria Yanni attended this month's Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce Card Exchange, hosted by Life Care Center of Punta Gorda – and there was an unusually large turnout! There was a beautiful food display by the facility, and a fun trivia event about the facility's history. Pictured is Gloria with David Obermeier, the recipient of our fun Fourth of July basket in the raffle, and with Dan Ravallo, internal audio director, representing the Clerk of the Court, who she won a bottle of wine from. Cheers!

  • NCS #PortCharlotte #Florida has participated in and sponsored the Annual Public Safety Appreciation Night for many years, but this year was a little different. Previously, the #firstresponders it honors organized the entire evening themselves. They decided last year would be their last, and asked for help from the community to organize it this year. Several local #Rotary groups took the helm and did a wonderful job, with great food, a DJ, photo booth, and silent auction. They raised money for the Charlotte Explorers and the Do The Right Thing Program, both children’s divisions of the local police department. “Always a pleasure to recognize our local first responders and heroes,” said Port Charlotte Service Manager Gloria Yanni, who is a member of Rotary Club of Charlotte Harbor Sunset, and attended with Office Coordinator Rachelle Pastorfield.

  • NCS #PortCharlotte #Florida Service Manager Gloria Yanni attended the Rotary Club of Charlotte Harbor Sunset's Annual Change of Watch Dinner at Isles Yacht Club in Punta Gorda. They thanked the outgoing board for their service, and also welcomed the new board, and National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte was happy to be the floral centerpiece sponsor. Pictured from left, Charlotte Harbor Sunset Rotary members Gail McKee, Suzanne VanDrus (incoming 2024 President), Gloria, and Kim Spencer; and Darryl Keys introducing keynote speaker District Governor of Rotary Alfred Current.

  • NCS #PortCharlotte Service Manager Gloria Yanni attended the annual Our Charlotte Elder Affairs Network (OCEAN) Sunflower Luncheon, where members nominate those who deserve to be recognized for their efforts in helping elderly folks in the community. There were eight nominees this year; the winner was Jennifer Neuman of The Meridian at Punta Gorda Isles. Winners are given $1,000 to be donated to a charity of their choice, and Jennifer chose the Southwest Florida Honor Flight. A delicious lunch was served at Visani Comedy Theater, Port Charlotte. We were pleased to provide the table centerpieces, representative of the sunflower theme, created by Port Charlotte Florist. A great event! Pictured are Jennifer Neuman and OCEAN President Darcy Woods.
