  • NCBA is stronger through its partnerships, partnerships like corn farmers and cattle producers creating food and fuel. Troy Schneider with National Corn Growers Association, Ellen S. Zimmerman with U.S. Grains Council, and Jaclyn Wilson with Wilson Flying Diamond Ranch are discussing why export markets impact cattle producers and add value to U.S. beef. Each of these guests brings different experiences and knowledge about trade to the conversation. Tune in wherever you get your podcasts or on YouTube at https://bit.ly/3zAmzWp🎙️

  • Alongside his wife and mother, Michael Lee operates Flying C Ranch in Conway, Arkansas. With roots in the family farm dating back to 1980, Michael grew up immersed in agriculture. “I have one of the greatest jobs ever, working in the industry I love because I get to be around animals and people,” he shares. Flying C Ranch, a vertically integrated commercial cattle operation, raises cattle to finishing weight, selling directly to consumers. They also run a farm store opened in 2022, offering local goods, including fruits, vegetables, other proteins, spices, and preserves. Michael is dedicated to advocating for the farming industry and educating consumers. He addresses concerns about antibiotic use and hormones by showcasing their transparent practices, even allowing customers to view grazing cattle from the farm store. Michael believes in supporting local producers and invites them to share their stories in the store. His commitment extends to his active involvement with the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association, NCBA, Farm Bureau, and local programs like 4-H and Farm Roundup. As Michael puts it, “It is time to put some skin in the game and make your voice be heard.”
