The National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS) and ADvancing States are joining forces to provide consultation, subject matter expertise, and technical assistance to states regarding the implementation of the Access Rule, beyond what is traditionally available through the associations’ membership benefits. States may obtain enhanced technical assistance support in a variety of areas pertaining to any of the Access Rule core components. State Aging and Disability and/or Developmental Disability Agency directors, or their counterparts in the state Medicaid agency or elsewhere in state government may request technical assistance. At NASDDDS, contact Jeanine Zlockie at [email protected].

NASDDDS’ Director of Technical Assistance and Special Projects, Jeanine Zlockie, led a session during ANCOR’s 2024 Tech Summit. Jeanine presented findings from the NASDDDS member survey which was conducted in partnership with Dr. Shea Tanis and shared promising practices from across the country. Jeanine was joined on the panel by representatives from Maryland and the District of Columbia who discussed their Technology First efforts. State Directors! We know that video content is so important when it comes to getting your message out to your communities. We also know that not everyone has access to high quality videographers. So this year, we are excited to announce at the NASDDDS Directors Forum and Annual Conference that we are partnering with Silfies Media (a video company dedicated solely to the Developmental Disabilities field) to provide you with an opportunity to sit down and shoot a video that you can use for your state! You will receive your own video, branded for your own state, and you can use your interview for any message that you would like to take back to your state. We are always trying to get creative in the ways that we can support you, and we hope that you find this free gift valuable! https://lnkd.in/ebbasAMH Email [email protected] for more information!
