Updates

  • We want to recognize Erika Morrissey on her 1st anniversary at Narrate! Erika graduated from OSU with her Bachelor of Science in Design and Merchandising – Interior Design in May 2023 and immediately joined Narrate. Erika may be relatively new to the industry, but you’d never know it! She quickly began contributing to projects and helping her team and co-workers however she could — her positive attitude and strong work ethic are contagious. Erika is a detail-oriented designer who finds inspiration in each new project and embraces every opportunity to learn. Outside of work, Erika is very active and enjoys golf, tennis, disc golf, pickleball, painting, watercolor, puzzles, and cooking — just to name a few of her many hobbies! Thank you, Erika, for being a part of our team – here’s to your 1st anniversary and many more to come!

  • Welcome to our Summer Fellow Mia Vera, Nathan Hale Class of 2024! This year’s AIA Eastern Oklahoma Summer Fellowship Program includes 5 participants, each spending the 4-week program at different design firms and participating in various group activities. The AIAEOK Fellowship initiative is designed to engage aspiring architects and provide them with a head start in the profession. Through mentorship, hands-on experience, and networking opportunities, Fellows gain a comprehensive understanding of architecture and related fields, empowering them to make informed decisions about their educational and career paths, and contribute to our changing profession.

  • Most of us are no strangers to the airport, however, a visit to Tulsa airport’s new International Terminal and Customs Facility construction site allows us to see it from a fresh and exciting perspective. This terminal expansion is a game changer for Tulsa — we will be flying direct to and from international destinations in 2025! Thank you to the Tulsa International Airport and Flintco alongside Narrate Project Manager Tyler Sappington and Construction Administrator Brianna Whetzell for allowing our big, curious group to visit and learn about the construction process.

  • Congratulations to Brianna Whetzell on her 1st anniversary at Narrate! Brianna came to us with 10 years of experience in the construction industry. As a Construction Administrator, her skills and experience with building and constructability, general communication on projects, and basic construction processes and procedures have made her a key team member on many of our projects under construction. Whether a ground-up project or a renovation, Brianna is prepared for whatever might arise during construction — as a previous construction project manager, she’s seen it all and is ready to work with our construction partners to ensure our projects get built on time and in budget. Outside of work, Brianna enjoys spending as much time as possible with her husband and son alongside family, pets, and friends. Thank you, Brianna, for being a part of our team – here’s to your 1st anniversary and many more to come!

That is why we are proud to announce that he is taking on the role of Studio Director! This multi-disciplinary leadership position has a comprehensive focus on strategic planning and resource allocation. Justin will continue his design and project management work, embracing this important added responsibility with the focus, integrity, and attention to detail for which he is known. • Help us celebrate Austin Nguyen on his 1st anniversary at Narrate! We first welcomed Austin as our DEI Scholarship recipient and summer intern during his final year at the OSU School of Architecture and we were thrilled to have him return as a full-time designer upon graduation. Austin quickly became an integral part of our Chick-fil-A team. He is inspired by architecture that revolves around understanding people and demographics so the work he is doing with Chick-fil-A now will serve him well as he continues to grow as a designer. Outside of work, Austin is very active in his community, previously running American Red Cross blood drives and fundraising for Be the Match Foundation, and currently serving on the APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American) Tulsa Board of Directors. He also enjoys walks, hiking, cooking, traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with friends. Thank you, Austin, for being a part of our team – here’s to your 1st anniversary and many more to come! #peoplefirstdesign #architecture #design #anniversary #employeeanniversary
