Today, NAIC President Andrew Mais talked to nine TV and nine radio stations, encouraging viewers of all ages to make insurance a priority and contact their trusted local agent and their state department of insurance (DOI) with any questions ahead of a natural disaster or event that could compromise the coverage of their assets or policy. “The good news is that there are independent resources to help consumers get answers to insurance questions and ensure there are no gaps in their coverage.” Find out how to contact each state DOI at the NAIC’s website. The NAIC also answers some of consumers’ most asked questions about selecting the right plan for them: https://lnkd.in/edp6uv5V Commissioner Mais shared these insurance tips: • Regularly review your insurance policies, especially when it pertains to life changes, i.e., marriage, a new home, or children. • Don’t be afraid to ask your agent, broker, company, or state DOI for help. • Shop around and compare quotes from multiple insurance providers. Use online comparison tools to help you. • Many insurers offer discounts if you elect to bundle your policies, such as home and auto. Bundling can lead to significant savings while ensuring comprehensive coverage. Read more: https://ow.ly/Ph4n50SHGGz
