It's not coming ... it's here. Roy Goodart, MBA, Kristina Belnap and Scott Kosnoff provided valuable insights into AI and GenAI, how it's impacting the fixed annuity marketplace today, and how it might transform our industry in the years ahead. Thanks to our Education Committee chair Chris Fuhrer for moderating the discussion and ending our general sessions with a bang! #annuityleadership #AI #technologyinnovation

What will the DOL fiduciary rule truly mean for independent distribution, and how are carriers and IMOs preparing to comply? We appreciate insights from legal and compliance leaders Tony Lengeling, Emily Kresowik, Rocky Robbins and Gissou Gotlieb in today's panel moderated by Kevin Mechtley as we think about how to educate, train and engage with annuity producers heading into this new fiduciary regime. #annuityleadership #fiduciaryrule #retirementsecurity

What a spectacular way to open our second day at the NAFA #AnnuityLeadership Forum! Thanks, Scott C. Miller, for a thought-provoking look back at Hamilton's work building the U.S. Treasury and how we can apply financial lessons from our country's beginnings to current and potential crisis management. #alexanderhamilton #ustreasury #financialmanagement

The annuity sales environment is under constant scrutiny. Thanks to Eric Taylor for moderating an outstanding discussion with Thomas Roberts and Gina Alsdorf J.D., LL.M. about two top-of-mind issues: the DOL #fiduciaryrule and the Cutter case. In addition to the potential for injunctive relief and what that could mean for the industry, they discussed considerations for carriers, IMOs and advisors in utilizing applicable PTEs and conducting compliant sales. #annuityleadership #regulation #litigation

In May, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announced the adoption of amendments to Regulation S-P. Thanks to Trish Carreiro, CIPP/US, CIPM, FIP and Jim Wintering for bringing light (and a bit of levity!) to this critical initiative, sharing considerations for organizations handling sensitive customer information and tips for complying with the regulation. #annuityleadership #cybersecurity #regulation
