Today is a big day! We finally get to launch Mytra to the world 🚀
Our mission is simple: to supercharge industrial productivity by automating the most common industrial task: moving and storing material.
Industry is at a crossroads. Making things overseas and shipping them has become more expensive than ever, and companies are struggling to fill and retain manufacturing and supply chain positions at home.
At the same time, consumer demand is strong, and expectations for delivery times are high. Today 85% of warehouses are operated like they were 75 years ago and without automation despite thousands of robot and automation solutions on the market.
The most scaled yet unsolved problem in this sector is material flow—simply moving and storing material within a warehouse or factory. Robotics and automation must play a much more meaningful role in industry. This is the single biggest product-market fit gap I’ve encountered in my career.
I spent over 7 years at Tesla leading the Model 3 general assembly material flow system and Tesla Bot (Optimus) program. My co-founder, Ahmad B., led factory software at Tesla and Rivian. We experienced firsthand the pain of implementing a truly automated warehouse and manufacturing facility.
It was time for a reset. We set out to develop the most simple yet universal system possible to move and store material. The result: a system that moves any type of inventory (pallets, totes, cases) in any direction (X, Y, and Z) at any payload up to 3,000 pounds, using just cells, mobile robots, and software. All industry firsts!
In just two years since founding Mytra, we have:
- Assembled a 65-person world-class team of industry veterans across hardware, software, and operations, and built a culture that values precision, collaboration, and also fun.
- Shipped our first system to production with our fantastic partners at Albertsons Companies led by Mustafa Harcar.
- Secured $78M in financing from top investors Seth Winterroth at Eclipse, Neil Shah at Greenoaks, Frederic Kerrest at 515 Ventures, and several other fantastic funds and strategic angels.

One of the most challenging tasks of building a robotics company is finding the right blend of leaders who want to push the boundaries of what’s possible but also have the experience of scaling under aggressive timelines. At Mytra, we’ve spun up a fantastic flywheel blending talent, product-market fit, mission, and timing.
If this resonates with you, consider joining our team! We’re hiring across the board to redefine robotics and AI to transform material flow from the ground up.
This is only the beginning. I am incredibly excited about continuing to build, design, and scale Mytra to make an ever-bigger impact.
