Sweet LI profile pic hack for all our freelance Swarm folk who aren’t looking to go full time.
Hello lovely community. I've been asked a few times about the graphic on my profile picture. It's a hack of the #opentowork badge which never seems quite right for freelancers... and when you set up a limited company, it's often confusing whether you are a freelancer, own a micro studio, or work for a company... (all of these, and an allotment in the forest). So, I wanted to share the graphic for anyone who wants to use it. You can still be 'open to work' to recruiters and have a custom badge. Here is a zip of the PNG with a transparent background (https://lnkd.in/ehN4eNTA). It's pretty easy to create a square 800x800 slide in Keynote, crop with an oval and export as image. And a big thanks to Les Hughes for his Adobe design skills. 40,000 impressions and 600 likes... let's see whether LinkedIn find new ways to support Freelancers and make us more visible to people who need us?

There’s a lot of pressure to constantly pitch and to chase new business in advertising. Conventional wisdom says ‘It’s like a leaky bucket, you have to fill it up from the top with new clients because clients are always leaving out the bottom’. What if - stay with me here - the bucket wasn’t leaky? Or if you are currently a leaky bucket agency, what if you patched it?
