MultiCare is a not-for-profit health care system with roots that date back to the founding of Tacoma's first hospital in 1882. Today, we are the largest community-based, locally governed health system in the state of Washington. While medical techniques have evolved over the years, our staff members continue to serve our founding mission of providing quality health care to members of our community.
