Knut is a dedicated downhill skier who faced the challenge of returning to the slopes after a stroke. Thanks to the support of St. Charles caregivers and his loved ones, Knut endured his 53-day stay in the hospital. Acknowledging the existing barriers and disparities in outdoor recreation, Mt. Bachelor is committed to collaborating with local partners to tackle hurdles facing marginalized and underrepresented communities. Mt. Bachelor has partnered with Vamonos Outside in several capacities to provide year-round outdoor recreation opportunities for LatinX youth as part of our Play Forever initiative. In the last two years, we've provided over $64,000 in scholarships for LatinX youth to enjoy skiing, rafting, and more. And, thanks to community support, we raised $25,000 through our Skyliner chair fundraiser to help Vamonos Outside purchase a new van.
