Do you know that low doses of human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) can significantly impact the gut microbiome in children and adults? A study (https://zurl.co/FBns) showed that even at predicted doses as low as 0.3 - 0.5 g/day, HMOs boost beneficial bacteria and increase health-promoting metabolites. This study highlights the potential for HMOs to enhance gut health, immune function, and the gut-brain axis, even at doses much lower than previously studied. 🚶♂️🦠A study (https://zurl.co/ewwd) reveals that while particulate matter (PM) exposure disrupts gut microbiota, aerobic exercise can enhance beneficial bacteria. Over 12 weeks, mice exposed to PM and exercise showed significant changes in gut diversity. Notably, exercise groups saw an increase in Lactobacillus, Coriobacteraceae, and Anaerofustis. In contrast, PM groups had reduced Bacteroides uniformis, SMB53, and Staphylococcus. This study underscores exercise's dual benefits for athletic ability and overall health. 🌟💪 Learn how you can further enhance your #microbiome research with our sample preparation product: https://zurl.co/OvFC

🌊🐟 A study (https://zurl.co/fRBY) showed that polyvinyl chloride (PVC) microplastics in aquatic environments can enrich potential pathogenic bacteria and spread antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in fish. Carp (Cyprinus carpio) exposed to PVC microplastics and antibiotics like oxytetracycline or sulfamethazine showed increased abundance of resistance genes. PVC microplastics played a significant role in this enrichment, posing a risk to aquaculture and human health. Now we have more reason to reduce the use of plastics and explore how you can further enhance your #microbiome research with our sample preparation product: https://zurl.co/OVOW

🌱🍅 Tomato seeds, usually discarded as waste in tomato processing, are packed with beneficial compounds . A study (https://zurl.co/gllI) suggested that extract from tomato seeds (TSE) can significantly boost beneficial gut bacteria and increase levels of health-promoting short-chain fatty acids. This finding highlights TSE's prebiotic potential and its ability to enhance gut health. Not only does this offer a novel use for tomato waste products, but it also contributes to sustainability and reduces agricultural loss. Let's turn waste into wellness! 🌍💚 Learn how you can further enhance your #microbiome research with our sample preparation product: https://zurl.co/r53e
