On Tuesday, we welcomed racers from HOT ROD Drag Week as they made their way to US131 Motorsports Park in Martin, MI for the next day’s competition. It was great connecting with the drivers and hearing all the great stories they had, especially hearing that many of them are customers of our dealers. We support the growing interest in drag-and-drive events, and encourage the participation of our very own employee, Brian Robbins, as he competes in this weeklong event. #motorsports #hotrod #racing

Last night, we honored our founders, George and Janet Lane, with a special cruise-in and memorial event. We shared cherished memories and celebrated decades-long friendships. When George Lane established Lane Automotive in 1964, he set out to bring high-performance racing parts to enthusiasts who shared his passion for speed and tire smoke. Starting from a modest storefront, Lane Automotive grew to what many know now as Motor State Distributing. Today, we still maintain the local retail storefront, Lane Automotive, meeting the needs of regional racers, hot rodders, and motorsports fans. We are happy to announce that Doug Lane, President of Lane Automotive / Motor State Distributing has been elected to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Board of Directors. Doug will serve a three-year term, representing the members of SEMA and Performance Racing Industry (PRI) and advocating for the aftermarket automotive industry. In this new role, Doug will champion the interests of the diverse SEMA membership, including PRI members, and advocate for solutions in the best interests of everyone.
