Motherhood on the Resume
Technology, Information and Internet
We believe that motherhood is training ground for leadership and that it belongs on the resume.
About us
We believe that motherhood belongs on the resume. It’s beyond time to finally tear down the deep cultural bias against mothers in the workplace and recognize motherhood for what it really is: a training ground for leadership. Motherhood On The Resume (MOTR) is a movement that validates the unpaid labor of moms, de-stigmatizes taking time off from work for motherhood, and recognizes the strengths moms bring to their professional lives, not in spite of being parents but because of it. Join us by adding “mother” to your resume. In turn, we will arm you with the resources and know-how to translate everything you’ve learned as a parent into tangible professional strengths and skills. We can only do this if we all do it — when we band together and celebrate all that we bring to our careers as mothers, we set the example and open doors for everyone else.
