Look who are published authors! 📚 Ms. Estevez's and Ms. Tomlin's Kindergarten Dual-Immersion students are celebrating the publication of their very own book about community helpers! The soon-to-be first graders wrote and illustrated the book themselves as part of their Kindergarten learning project, and it features a variety of community helpers they each chose. The students dedicated the book to the real-life community helpers of Mooresville. Today, the young authors had a publishing party where they got to meet and say "THANK YOU!" to some of the heroes of their book: firefighters from Mooresville Fire-Rescue, officers from the Mooresville Police Department, and South Elementary School nurse, Ms. Lehe. 🚌 Wanted: Chief Happiness Officer (aka School Bus Driver) 🚌 Are you tired of being stuck in the same old routine? Ready to add a dash of adventure to your daily grind? Look no further! We're on the hunt for a dynamic individual to fill the shoes (or should we say, driver's seat) of a Happiness Officer — also known as a School Bus Driver! What does being an MGSD Happiness Officer entail, you ask? 1. Commandeer a trusty yellow chariot and transport the world's most precious cargo: OUR STUDENTS! 2. Become a master of multitasking – juggling traffic, alternate routes, and a bus full of giggling kiddos. 3. Spread joy and happiness like confetti, one mile at a time. 4. Keep the wheels rolling smoothly and the smiles flowing freely. 5. Deliver students safely to their destination while making memories and a difference to children along the way!
