The Future of Environmental Solutions

About us

Montrose Environmental was one of the first to see environmental responsibility as not just an imperative but as a strategic asset. And we’re well ahead of the curve in applying the latest technologies in practical ways to solve difficult environmental challenges. How? By building a leadership team with exceptional depth of experience and breadth of expertise. By bringing together a wealth of local knowledge that allows us to address homegrown issues across multiple locations. By removing operational roadblocks that stand in the way of streamlined, hassle-free, nation-spanning implementation. And by investing in assets and technologies that will keep us out in front of emerging environmental concerns for years to come. In short, we approach our job the same way our clients approach theirs: With a sense of urgency, a commitment to adding value, and a stubborn refusal to settle for second-best. All to help the people we partner with identify and seize opportunity.

Our next “Innovations Driving Impact” spotlight features Montrose’s partnership with Waste Connections. Ahead of regulatory enforcement and to proactively address PFAS passively received in municipal solid waste, Waste Connections partnered Montrose and its subsidiary ECT2 to evaluate and identify the best PFAS removal technology for landfill leachate at their Champ Landfill in Missouri. “ECT2’s FOAM-X™ system is highly effective at treating PFAS in liquid waste with high levels of co-contaminants, including landfill leachate,” said Vijay Manthripragada, President and Chief Executive Officer of Montrose Environmental Group. “Air is injected in the form of tiny bubbles, which attracts PFAS to the air-water interface, removing it from the water column. Removing PFAS from landfill leachate breaks the cycle of PFAS from discarded consumer products entering our waterways and dispersing through the environment.” A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at the Champ Landfill Sustainability Campus in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri on August 6, 2024. Public tours of the PFAS treatment system are available most days by appointment. “Our ribbon-cutting ceremony marks a significant milestone in our efforts to address the complex environmental challenges associated with PFAS contamination, particularly at landfill sites. Recognizing the growing concern over PFAS contamination and lack of regulations requiring its removal from water, Waste Connections has taken a proactive stance by installing the first PFAS Water Treatment Plant in Missouri,” stated Cherie Summa, Waste Connections/Champ Landfill district manager. 📰Read our press release: https://hubs.ly/Q02HGhbS0

Sensible EDP™ 🤝 CTEH, our next “Innovations Driving Impact” spotlight. Our proprietary software, Sensible EDP™, paired with health exposure and toxicology experts at CTEH, is enabling two Colorado facilities to disseminate information about critical compounds in their facilities to communities and meet regulatory requirements, including HB21-1189. “HB21-1189 aims to protect communities by improving the quality and quantity of publicly available emissions data,” said Vijay Manthripragada, President and Chief Executive Officer of Montrose Environmental Group. “Montrose’s air monitoring solution continuously monitors critical compounds at facilities, disseminates the information in partnership with industry to the public and includes community health-based thresholds to enhance community awareness of air quality safety levels. We are excited to share the first installment of Montrose’s “Innovations Driving Impact” series! Montrose was approached by a client seeking to reduce their air emissions, reduce their costs and enhance their LDAR compliance program by pioneering the first-ever AWP implementation at a U.S. refinery. We developed a comprehensive approach that integrates innovative strategies, advanced technology and streamlined processes to optimize inspection, data tracking and leak detection — all while ensuring regulatory compliance. “Compared to the conventional leak detection approach, the AWP that we implemented at our client’s Louisiana refinery can screen a greater number of components, improve leak visibility, including hard-to-reach areas, is more time-efficient and reduces air emissions,” said Vijay Manthripragada, President and Chief Executive Officer of Montrose Environmental Group. “Notably, the AWP lowers costs and increases efficacy, by allowing for 2,500 components to be surveyed per day, a significant increase compared to the traditional approach’s capacity of approximately 400 components.” 📰Read our press release: https://hubs.ly/Q02FXD880
