Momentous School has been preparing for the start of a new academic year and the team at Gordon Highlander was ready and eager to step up to the call for service at a moment's notice! Gordon Highlander, a partner of Momentous Institute and THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson since 2016, spent the day bringing new life to student lockers and classrooms, ensuring that each space is spotless and ready for student learning. Highlanders certainly bring quality to their service and we at Momentous Institute are excited to welcome our students in August with the newly refreshed spaces! Thank you! #finishwell

About us
Momentous Institute, owned and operated by Salesmanship Club of Dallas, has been building and repairing social emotional health in kids since 1920. Each year, the organization serves 6,000 children and family members through innovative education and therapeutic services. The organization also invests in research and training to reach far more children than could ever be served directly and hosts the annual Changing the Odds Conference. The combined support of Salesmanship Club of Dallas, THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson (primary fundraiser), corporations, individuals and foundations enables these efforts and truly changes the odds for kids in our community and beyond.

Most people have experienced a traumatic event in their lives, whether from a childhood event or more recently, the experience of living through a global pandemic. It is important to remember that some people have unresolved trauma, which can impact behavior, emotions, body, relationships, and overall well-being. Understanding that some reactions or sensitivities may stem from deeper, unresolved issues is vital in fostering compassionate interactions. This insight allows us to approach each other with greater empathy and support, recognizing the profound impact that trauma can have on one's behavior.
