This month, our company has been dedicated to giving back in many meaningful ways. Our home office employees recently came together for an all-company volunteer day at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, sorting and packing more than 1,700 pounds of donated product and serving nearly 600 families at the Mid-Ohio Market at Gantz Road in Columbus. In Cincinnati, our sales team lent a hand at the The Freestore Foodbank, ensuring families have access to nutritious meals. Team members also volunteered at the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, supporting local families in need. Meanwhile, our Hillsdale team held a month-long drive to support Share the Warmth, their local homeless shelter, with necessities. And in Sulphur Springs, Texas, we organized a collection for our partners at CANHelp, embodying the spirit of community and generosity. Today we welcomed agriculture professionals from across the U.S. to the Mid-Ohio Farm on the Hilltop for the 2024 Black Farmers & Urban Growers National Conference. Yesterday, the Mid-Ohio Food Collective was thrilled to receive a generous donation from Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc. They contributed over 850 gallons of lactose-free whole milk, which will be distributed to our customers. For more than 80 years, Prairie Farms Dairy has been dedicated to producing high-quality local dairy products. Thank you, Prairie Farms, for your support. This past Friday, WCMH-TV, NBC4, nbc4i.com staff gathered at the Mid-Ohio Farm at NBC4 for Nexstar Media's Founder's Day of Caring. This annual event commemorates the founding of Nexstar on June 17, 1996, and offers an opportunity for Nexstar employees to give back to their communities. NBC4 staff, alongside the MOFC Farm team, spent the day building, harvesting lettuce, expanding the vertical farm, and more.
