To further our commitment to enhancing campus experiences, Modo Labs hosts the SEED program, a paid internship designed to inspire the next generation of mobile app innovators and prepare them for a career in tech by giving them real, hands-on experience on industry projects. According to the 2022 State of the Student, 81% of students report that it is important for universities to offer real company-led projects. However, only 30% of instructors say that their schools offered these opportunities. The lack of these programs has led to lower rates of engagement among students. The SEED program addresses this gap by allowing interns to work with the Modo team on the Modo platform, creating innovative mobile and desktop solutions for campus life. Additionally, the program serves as a talent pipeline, connecting creative students with Modo’s higher education customers for further internships. After completing the program, these students return to their colleges and push the boundaries of innovation in their campus mobile apps. Modo has just welcomed seven new interns to take part in this year’s SEED program who will be tasked with developing prototypes to solve issues within their college apps. Leveraging their experiences as students, these interns will conceptualize and design inventive remedies aimed at improving student engagement.
