Exciting news! Modesto City Schools has won an award in the Education category at the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) and SCAN NATOA “STAR Awards!” 🎉 I decided to enter for the first time after catching a deadline extension here on LinkedIn, and I’m thrilled we were recognized alongside larger teams with dedicated video production teams like the City of Costa Mesa, who took 1st, San Juan Unified, who took 2nd, and Riverside County, who was the honorable mention. What makes this even more special? I didn’t have any video equipment at the time (I do now), so I shot all the interviews and b-roll on my cell phone. 🤫 It’s an honor to represent our district and be among a short list of Northern California agencies nominated for awards at this statewide competition! 🙌🏼 And how cool is that the award ceremony fell on the 90th anniversary of the launch of the Queen Mary? 🚢
Today, MCS staff had the opportunity to learn more about their benefit plans and options, with help from our amazing Benefits department to make any needed adjustments. At MCS, we prioritize the health and well-being of our team across the #DestinationDistrict, because healthy employees create a thriving work environment—positively impacting our classrooms, offices, and scholars! What a way to make a splash into the next 50 years! 🐬🌊 The Sonoma Sprit was alive all last week for their 50th birthday, and it was capped off by a community celebration! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekends event special from the dedicated staff (past and present), to parents, district leases and community leaders, Saturday was truly a memorable day! For many more years to come, Sonoma will continue to make a difference—one wave at a time!
