Our Purvis Young Exhibition remains on view until December 29th, 2023. “Purvis’s work radiates rawness, indulging in color and shape. They are riddled with unrest and animation. Ultimately, his work is a dialogue of binaries. Freedom versus struggle. White versus black. Country versus city. Movement versus confinement. Truth versus deceit. Rich versus poor.” - excerpt from article written by Violet E. Cooper, originally published in Westport Lifestyle Magazine
