  • In Missouri Star’s 16th year, our 16th shop in Hamilton is NOW OPEN! Welcome to the Fabric Market. This week, we officially opened the doors of the Fabric Market with a grand opening. We are elated to open our doors to everyone and welcome customers and our community inside. In the Fabric Market you’ll find all the ingredients you need to make a quilt – and even more fun surprises! This store houses our most creative store experience yet and we’re so proud of what we’ve built. The Fabric Market is divided into two sections – the first side of the building is where you can buy precut fabric by the ¼ lb at our “meat” counter and the other side is the home of Ella Jane’s Soda Shop. In between you’ll find themed t-shirts and mugs, coasters and tea towels, fruit and veggie themed fabric, and so much more! Come on in! We can’t wait to see you here.

  • Jenny Doan has always believed that quilts are more than fabric and stitches. They become keepers of memories, milestones, and stories, creating profound connections across generations. In her recently released book, Quilting Through Life, Jenny shares stories from her experiences and provides inspiration to help you use quilting to mark special moments in your life. Earlier this week in Hamilton, Missouri, we hosted a book launch to come together and commemorate the true meaning of Quilting Through Life. Thank you to everyone who came out to show your love and support for Jenny Doan and her new book!

  • Tula Pink and her team came to town last Friday, and we had the best time! Tula went LIVE for a Q A, took pictures and signed everything from quilts to bags, irons, and more during her meet and greet. She shared so many stories full of inspiration and laughter! Thank you to all of the wonderful quilters who were able to be a part of our audience in Hamilton and those who watched online! What a wonderful afternoon!

  • Our Shop Team is amazing! They recently took on a project when Carol Henderson from our Sewing Team extended an ask for help to sew heart “Huggies” for cardiac patients post-surgery. Together, the Shops Team made 40 pillows! It was an excellent opportunity for the new sewists on our team to build some skills and for everyone to have fun making a project together. Our Shops Team members were touched by this opportunity to give to others – many Team members have had family who needed these pillows after cardiac surgeries. The heart “huggies” the team made were shared to St. Luke’s Hospital. What an incredible start to the New Year!

  • This past week, our retreat center here in Hamilton saw something for the very first time – a retreat entirely in Spanish! Led by Lina Owen from Descubre el Quilting and Lili Jimenez from Quiltarte, quilters in the retreat integrated patchwork with embroidery to celebrate heritage and creating. There were so many beautiful projects to see and wonderful history to learn!
