How did you celebrate International Domestic Workers Day this past weekend? 💚✊🏾 Dozens of nannies, house cleaners, and home health aides gathered at our Domestic Worker Assembly with WeCount! Together workers are standing up to abuse and organizing to win a Domestic Workers Bill of Rights in Miami-Dade! “We are the soul of society,” says Haitian home care worker Ermana, member of MWC. “Domestic workers do the work that makes all work possible!” The time is now for protection, dignity, and respect on the job. We’re fighting for #CareThatGoesBothWays Thank you so much to the affiliates of National Domestic Workers Alliance who joined us from New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. to share lessons from their successful campaigns and words of encouragement to our sisters here in the South! Solidarity is our superpower💪🏽
