FUN FACT FRIDAY! Did you know that in Montana, there are more cows than people? While the state is famous for its breathtaking landscapes and boasts a population of over a million residents, it’s home to more than double that number in cattle—around two million! As you have seen in our previous posts, seeing cattle on the highway is not out of the ordinary in Montana. Do you have any fun facts or topic you want us to cover? Jennell Van Dyke was in attendance of another career fair this week. This one being a little further from home. Jennell traveled just over 600 miles to Bismarck, North Dakota to attend the University of Mary’s Healthcare Career Fair. The mission at the University of Mary is - to prepare health care professionals anchored in moral courage who respect and defend the dignity of every human life. While in attendance Jennell spoke with many nursing students as well as students in other programs such as physical therapy, speech language pathology, radiological technology, respiratory therapy athletic training, biomechanics, kinesiology, psychology, and exercise science. Record attendance of roughly 390 students across all disciplines were well prepared and eager to speak about different career opportunities. Jennell's next career fair will be in Laramie, WY at the University of Wyoming on October 9th.

Jennell Van Dyke attended the career fair at Carroll College yesterday right here in Helena and had a great time! Some fun facts is that she talked with students in the RN program as well as those majoring in data sciences, business, health sciences, sociology, accounting, pre physician assistants, and dietitians.

Starting off strong: Did you know that the first hospital in Montana was established in 1869 located in Helena? It was founded by the Deaconess Sisters of the Protestant Episcopal Church, making it a key institution in providing medical care in the region during that time.
