The Pages for People Book Club is having its first LinkedIn Live event this Thursday, hosted by our own Scott Snodgrass. We'll be discussing (among other urbanist things!) Jan Gehl’s book, Cities for People. If you haven't signed up yet, scroll down and do so. And be sure to add it to your calendar. #pagesforpeople
Pages for People, our virtual book club, will have its first LinkedIn Live event on July 25! (It's not your imagination— we moved the event that was scheduled for today to next month.) Join us on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Pacific as we delve into Jan Gehl’s book, Cities for People. Even if you haven’t joined the book club discussion or read the book yet (why not!?!?), feel free to join us for this event. Here's what you can expect: ✔ Share your thoughts and insights with fellow urbanists, placemakers, developers, activists, and people who care about their communities ✔ Connect and engage with other action-oriented innovators and changemakers in the industry looking to do and be better ✔ Gain new perspectives from fellow members (we’ll have an active chat during the event) ✔ Expand your professional network and make new friends in the urbanism space And be sure to set a reminder and mark yourself as “Interested” in the event to receive a notification reminder when it goes live. #placesforpeople #pagesforpeople https://lnkd.in/g3Zy7hyg

On a road trip this summer and need a podcast? Allow us to share a good one: Eyes on the Street by CivicBrand. A And, coincidentally, our co-founders appeared on it last year. Listen in as Clayton Garrett and Scott Snodgrass discuss sweating the small details and how that's what placemaking really is. https://lnkd.in/gEcCwKV2 #placesforpeople

Our Pages for People book club is premiering its first LinkedIn Live on July 25 and we’re getting a good crowd of folks joining. Want to do us a favor? Share the event with your own followers. Let’s make this engaging as we discuss Jan Gehl’s book, Cities for People, what we learned from the book, from Gehl, and what does a “city for people” look like. Scott Snodgrass will also be announcing the next book, too. And if you’re not a book club member hop on to see how to join (hint: it’s very easy) for the next book. https://lnkd.in/gRh849p3 #placesforpeople #pagesforpeople

Last month we announced the start of construction for The Filling Station at Indigo. It's the first building set to open at Indigo Commons — the mixed-use town center located at the heart of our 235-acre neighborhood. The Filling Station will serve as a general store, welcome center and first stop for visitors to the neighborhood. The approximately 3,000-square-foot space is anticipated to open in late 2024. #placesforpeople

It’s poll time! Here’s a question for urban design professionals, planners, developers and dreamers: In crafting your next-gen community, what would you prioritize? What other features are crucial for the ideal space? Share your thoughts in the comments. We’ll continue sharing our own as we travel on our journey to develop and launch Indigo. #placesforpeople

What an honor! We’re thrilled to announce Indigo took home the Grand Award at PCBC’s Gold Nugget Awards for Best On-the-Boards Site Plan last week. It capped off an amazing week, starting with The Builder's Daily article that reported strong sales out of the gate of our cottages and duets at Indigo by Empire Communities. #placesforpeople https://lnkd.in/gKYBfrtb
