Our EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) headquarters in Belgium has achieved the Certification Standard for Zero Waste Facilities: “SCS-110 Zero Waste Standard V 3.0” with 95.95% waste diversion from landfill. With this achievement, Plant 28 becomes the first ‘zero-waste-to-landfill’ facility in Brunswick certified to a third-party standard. More than 95% waste reduction is difficult to achieve and requires impressive focus and effort. With emerging sustainability regulations in Europe, this waste reduction accomplishment and certification represent important progress and a signal of our commitment to sustainability to regulators, in addition to our employees, customers, and communities. Congratulations to the Plant 28 team! You can learn more about Mercury Marine’s sustainability efforts in the 2023 Brunswick Corporation Sustainability Report, found here: https://lnkd.in/gJ2QDEk8 #GoBoldly #Sustainability #ZeroWaste

Recently, a team of Mercury employees participated in the Annual Watershed Cleanup to collect and dispose of trash found along the shoreline at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac, WI. Part of the Trash Free Waters program for the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance, the annual event brought together over 1,700 volunteers from the community to help clean up the shoreline of the Fox and Wolf rivers, Lake Butte des Morts, Lake Winnebago and Little Lake Butte des Morts. The Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance works to prevent and reduce trash and litter on our lands and in our waters through targeted campaigns, cleanup events, community outreach and education. Below are some final numbers from this year's event: • 70 cleanup sites • 1,749 volunteers • 32 tires removed • 2152 plastic bags removed • 7,350 pounds total trash removed! #GoBoldly

In celebration of #EarthDay and #EarthWeek, a group of Mercury Marine employees participated in the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway program. The team scoured the ditches and landscape to remove trash, recyclables and litter along a stretch of Highway 23 in Fond du Lac County. Wisconsin’s Adopt-a-Highway program helps keep roughly 11,800 miles of state, federal and interstate highways clean and aims to educate the traveling public on properly disposing of litter. We’re honored to be part of the program, and we thank our volunteers for their hard work and dedication to keeping our environment clean. #GoBoldly

April 22-26 is International Marine Service Technician Week. For all of us at Mercury Marine, it’s a time to recognize the essential role our service techs play in the marine industry. After going through a rigorous training program through Mercury University, each and every Mercury Certified Technician begins a career focused on supporting boaters – from the professional angler who earns a living on the water to the family who just wants to spend quality time together away from shore. Located across the globe, our amazing service techs are constantly fine-tuning their skills in an effort to keep the Mercury customer where they belong – on the water, in pursuit of the fish of a lifetime or the perfect sunset. We raise our hats to them this week and beyond, and thank them for their talents, passion and commitment. To learn more about International Marine Service Technician Week, including ways you can show appreciation for your favorite Mercury Marine service technician, visit the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) website today. 🔗: https://lnkd.in/ejqN6mey #GoBoldly #Technician #Certification
