When we’re in a mental health crisis we may have extreme or distorted views about the world and ourselves. Suffice to say…it’s not a great time to be making decisions. That’s why it’s helpful to plan ahead. Just like we have smoke detectors and fire extinguishers in our house, planning ahead for a mental health emergency can be the best way to make sure things don’t go from bad to worse (and might even go from “bad” to “better”). A safety plan does just that. It’s a series of questions you answer ahead of time that remind you what to do before or during a mental health crisis to keep you SAFE. Check out our online safety plan tool at https://lnkd.in/giuTuz-i to make a safety plan today.
