More exciting news! The Bloch Quantum Tech Hub was awarded a $500,000 Consortium Accelerator Award through the US Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) to continue implementing a strategy focused on accelerating the industry adoption of quantum technologies. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is asking state legislators for half a billion dollars for quantum technologies in the proposed budget he released today—the latest show of support for the regional #quantum ecosystem that has attracted millions of dollars in corporate and government investment in recent years. The announcement comes as a Chicago Quantum Exchange-led coalition competes for $70 million in federal funding as a US Tech Hub for quantum technologies.
