🎉 Join us in celebrating a monumental milestone at MedVet New Orleans! They have completed their 300th extracorporeal treatment therapy, a lifesaving process that purifies the bloodstream outside of the body. This incredible service includes techniques like hemodialysis, hemoperfusion, and therapeutic plasma exchange, helping us immediately stabilize and treat pets with severe toxicities or systemic conditions. We're thrilled to offer this advanced care, giving hope where there often is none. Two patients that recently received this treatment are Aden and Phoebe, our milestone duo! These sweet pups accidentally ingested a lethal dose of Carprofen, a medication that can be highly toxic. Thanks to quick thinking and a call to MedVet New Orleans, the team was able to use hemoperfusion to filter the drug from their bloodstream completely. Within 48 hours, both dogs were happily wagging their way out of the hospital, none the wiser about their recent adventure. From New Orleans to Salt Lake City, Silicon Valley, and soon Columbus, our extracorporeal services are making a real difference. We're incredibly proud of our critical care team for reaching this milestone and for their unwavering dedication to saving lives every day. A special shoutout to our New Orleans team of caregivers for continuing to champion this incredible treatment. Here's to many more success stories like Aden and Phoebe! 🐶
