Our Employee of the Month for July is Cheryl! Cheryl has worked for Medilodge for five years and has been such an addition as our CNA turned Restorative Aide! She comes into work every morning with a smile on her face and a hug for her Lodgers! Before coming to work with us, she was the manager at Rollerama Skating Rink for five years – we can easily tell that she is very much a people person! Born in Detroit and the youngest of five children, Cheryl went to high school in Westland and moved to Minnesota thereafter where she and her husband of 43 years began and raised a family. Cheryl is the proud mother of four kids and two grandchildren. Her favorite part of her job is her conversations with her Lodgers – she lives for the things they say and gets a kick out of some of them thinking she is a Lodger too! In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys crafting, crocheting and making homemade beauty products! When asked about the best advice she could give to herself on a challenging day, Cheryl says to 'Remember – control is an illusion and nobody knows what will happen next!'
