Congratulations to Medico's "You Make The Difference" campaign. We received several nominations throughout Southern California, and without further ado, we are excited to announce our grand prize winner. And the winner is...Clara Zenteno of Riverside Outpatient Surgical! Here is a short story from Clara's nomination form about why Clara is a Difference Maker. Clara was scheduled for a normal day, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The day ran long; a scheduled case ended up being more complex and complicated than usual. The nurse for recovery had to leave, and Clara said, "It's okay, I've got this." Clara stayed with the patient for an extra eight hours after her regular shift ended. She didn't complain; she just saw it as her duty as a nurse to care for her patient. She was back at 6:00 AM the next day, ready to go again. She is extremely dedicated to her family and work and is willing to go above and beyond to make sure her family and patients are well taken care of. I wouldn't think twice about having Clara care for any of my loved ones. As part of the grand prize, Clara's charity of choice is St. Jude, and a donation of $500 has been made in her name.

"As he contemplates retirement, Dr. Werts continues to practice dentistry and dedicates some of his spare time to teaching implant surgery in Mexico.
