Volunteer Time Off Benefit Lets You Decide When and Where You'll Make a Difference
Medica employees receive up to 16 hours of paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO) each year to volunteer at eligible nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. Our VTO benefit is in addition to regular employee Paid Time Off (PTO) and company holidays.
Our Annual Employee Giving Campaign
Our annual Employee Giving Campaign is a week of fun activities that celebrate our culture and provide opportunities and encouragement for employees to support nonprofit organizations in the community. Our popular Community Showcase event brings dozens of charities to our main campus to share their work and campaign for support. The week culminates in a canoe race around the island behind our headquarters, as teams battle to direct a financial contribution to their charity of choice.
Acts of Impact
What’s an Act of Impact? Action that supports our community partners through volunteer hours, monetary gifts, participation in service projects on our town hall days, donations of items during drives for food, school supplies, winter clothing, holiday gifts, and more. An Act of Impact can have a ripple effect, and even a seemingly small one can make a huge difference. Together we can help uplift the communities where we live and work.
