"Actually...Hold Up" is a new limited series podcast by MediaJustice that uses viral pop culture stories you’re familiar with to tackle how misinformation spreads throughout our media landscape and what we can do to fight back. We’ve got insightful conversations, hot takes, and pop culture references so tune in as we break down what you don’t know about the stories you think you know and why. Our first two premiere episodes are available now wherever you listen to podcasts: https://lnkd.in/g9YC9GXz Episode 1: "Hold Up: Here Come The Stans" - Host of "There are No Girls on the Internet", Bridget Todd, and I take a closer look at the online misinfo surrounding the #deppvheard trial, gender & power and why slowing down on TikTok is actually the way to go. Episode 2: "Hold Up: AI Can't Write TV" - writer/producer Angela Harvey joins us to break down how Hollywood corporations use mainstream media and #misinfo to crack down on #WGAstrike solidarity and how writers are creating their own media to demand better working conditions, set the record straight and shore up a better industry for the next generation of BIPOC TV writers.

In honor of Labor Day, we are releasing our final report summarizing how 19 social justice organizations implemented a 32-hour workweek (including several for whom it didn't stick). Last Spring we surveyed organizations to learn more about *how* to implement - and not implement - a 32 hour workweek. The results were illuminating and important! https://lnkd.in/eGNv_PaW
