Women going through menopause make up one of the largest segments of the global workforce, yet they're one of the populations least supported by status-quo healthcare. "At some point trying becomes aching, becomes longing, becomes praying, and in some ways, is the ultimate act of faith. Maybe hope is the best word. It often is, because hope still comes with doubt. I'm just hoping that their hope does not run out.” In case you missed his viral Instagram post this week, we love this poem from World Poetry Slam Champ Harry Baker (@harrybakerpoet), which beautifully and honestly captures the emotions that so many experience on the fertility journey. If you're currently trying, or if you know someone who's trying, take a few minutes to watch this video—you won't regret it. 💚 (shared with permission from Harry Baker)

Not all benefits packages are created equal: fewer than 50% of employers who offer fertility benefits provide adoption benefits, and only 10% provide surrogacy benefits, creating barriers for LGBTQIA employees on their family-building journeys. Maven Chief Growth Officer William Porteous shared his surrogacy journey to highlight this gap in benefits coverage in a CNBC article—because all employees should have access to the family-building support they need, no matter what their path to parenthood looks like.
