Mathnasium Learning Centers sees impressive year-over-year growth and continues to be recognized in the franchise and math education industry. At the 2024 mid-year mark, we’ve seen strong momentum with 58 franchises awarded and 36 centers opened around the globe between January and June. As we move into the latter half of the year, we are looking to open another 28 centers in North America alone, and another 5-8 internationally! Alongside this impressive expansion for the year, we’re proud to share our industry accolades, including ranking as a Top Low-Cost and Top Global Franchise, and ranking #97 on the 2024 Entrepreneur Franchise 500 list. We’ve also again earned a high spot on Entrepreneur Media’s second annual ranking of the Top Brands for Multi-Unit Owners, which identifies the brands with the most appeal for prospective franchisees interested in multi-unit ownership, as well as existing franchisees looking to expand their portfolios. The 2024 Mathnasium Annual Convention was held last month in San Diego, California and it was another spectacular event packed with inspiration, motivation, and connection. This year’s theme of “Our Heart is at the Center” was inspired by co-founder and Chief Instructional Officer, Larry Martinek, and his impactful depiction of our artichoke award. As he beautifully articulates, “You can peel back the layers and enjoy every one of them, but the best discovery of all is the heart that lies beneath.” This year we had almost 700 attendees, including Mathnasium owners, Center Directors, and instructors from all around the world. And whether they were new to the Mathnasium family, or had been #ChangingLivesThroughMath with us for several years, the annual convention proved once more to show the strong connection and support within our global community. The event was filled with motivational sessions on embracing innovation, striving for excellence, and driving towards success, as well as engaging activities and our first ever “Mathlympics” full of thrilling challenges for our math experts! As Senior Vice President of Franchise Operations, Kristin Goedke, shared in her presentation, “Fun at Mathnasium is what separates us from other brands.” Thank you to our guest speakers, Jesse Cole and Erik Wahl, for leaving us with the essence of the heart that mirrors the guiding principle behind the mission we all so passionately bring to the children in our communities. This past Saturday, Mathnasium Viet Nam attended Vietnam’s American Chamber Of Commerce "Annual Independence Day Celebration & Community Picnic" in Ho Chi Minh City. The celebration commemorated 248 years of American independence, as well as the AmCham Vietnam HCMC & Danang 29th anniversary of hosting this event. The annual event is their most emblematic of the year, featuring a range of activities, games, live music, and food stations. #Mathnasium of Vietnam set up several activities for children, such as Stand a Bottle and Bucket Ball, underscoring Mathnasium's active community engagement and its connection with the American business community in Vietnam.
