MD Energy Advisors' very own David Borchardt and Jason Schwartzberg recently presented at the 2024 Maryland Clean Energy Center Summit. Jason addressed financing opportunities in real estate and David spoke on a panel where challenges that commercial and residential properties face as they #decarbonize and find ways to save energy were discussed. #Benchmarking was also a hot topic. We're grateful for the opportunity to share our perspective alongside fellow industry leaders and learn valuable information from all in attendance. #MCEC #CleanEnergy #TogetherWeCan #MDEnergyAdvisors #MDEA #speaker #SummitCircleBack #BEPS #MDBEPS

We’d be remiss not to have a #SummitCircleBack from Plenary I & II. Plenary I gathered Secretary Serena McIlwain, Robert F. Parker, Ruth Ann Norton, Kevin Lucas, Charles Washington, Mark Stewart, and Antoine M. Thompson to present the takeaways from each Pre-Conference Policy & Planning Roundtable, which included challenges and solutions related to the legislative process, state regulations, development and deployment of technologies and programs, lack of informational resources, and costs to consumers and businesses. This served as an excellent opportunity for attendees to gain insights from sessions in which they did not participate. Plenary II gave Summit attendees the opportunity to hear from Meghan Conklin, Beth Bafford, William J. Barber III, Stephen Morel, and Amy Gillespie, representatives of the National Climate Investment Fund (NCIF) grant awards, about how NCIF can help expedite and leverage greater investment in carbon reduction measures through grant awards. A large portion of the discussion focused on how to include Justice40 stakeholders, focusing on reducing barriers and increasing accessibility to #cleanenergy programs. Thank you to all of our participants for joining us! #MCEC #TogetherWeCan

MCEC and its partners were awarded $33M through the U.S. Department of Transportation Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant Program to build #EV charging stations along an Alternative Fuel Corridor, which will help reduce range anxiety for consumers and contribute to Maryland's growing clean energy economy. This funding is in addition to January's $15M award to build 58 Community Charging Sites in rural, urban Low-to-Moderate Income, and Justice40 communities. Both big wins for the state of #Maryland!
