Last month, our leadership team hit the road to learn the winning formula behind our US distribution centers with the strongest or most improved safety records. They spent two days experiencing life as both a warehouse selector and delivery driver, learning what challenges they face and ways in which we can create a safer work environment for them. Origin Story: Martin Brower completed a historic acquisition in 2018 which nearly doubled their McDonald’s business across the U.S overnight. Martin Brower Australia has partnered with long-term customer McDonald’s to launch its first electric delivery truck into its Australian fleet. With zero tailpipe emissions, the truck emits no harmful pollutants during operations, improving air quality, reducing fuel consumption, and limiting noise in local neighborhoods. The introduction of electric vehicles, like this one, gets us one step closer to our 2030 target of a 50% reduction in carbon emissions.
