  • In preparation for Tropical Storm Francine, our shoreside teams have been working around the clock to ensure the safety and well-being of our crews and vessels. A few of our key action items to do so include: 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: our experts are closely tracking Tropical Storm Francine with real-time weather updates and radars. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Port Captains are keeping crews informed with the latest updates and ensuring they have all necessary supplies onboard. 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀: We have comprehensive plans in place to prepare and secure vessels against severe weather. We are committed to the safety of our crews and will continue to take proactive measures until Tropical Storm Francine has passed. Stay safe and thank you to everyone contributing to our preparation efforts. Weather Map reference: National Hurricane Center

  • Harvest season is here, and our crews are ready to get product moving!🌽 Last year, Marquette moved over 17 million tons of grains, which represents 10,000 barge loads. Barge transportation is the safest and most efficient way to handle bulk commodities. Without barges, you'd need 160,000 rail cars or 700,000 semi-trucks to move this same amount of grain!🚃🚚 We're excited to be ramping up to provide safe and reliable services in support of our customer partners - let's make this harvest a great one!👍
