With deep gratitude, I am excited to announce that my first restaurant in Africa is now open, which feels like both a brand-new adventure and a homecoming. Marcus Addis Ababa is way up on the 47th floor of the beautiful new CBE building - the tallest in East Africa – which perfectly sums up the sky-high hopes and dreams I had for this restaurant. As with every restaurant I open, I am committed to bringing opportunities and broader training to the local community so we're partnering with a local hospitality and culinary training program to establish growth, inclusion, and opportunity. Our team members are the true heartbeat of the restaurant. When the elevator doors open, you'll see the soaring view and a curated collection of contemporary African art, you'll hear up-and-coming DJs and afrobeats with international touches, and you'll taste international dishes rooted in Ethiopian flavors. We can't wait to welcome you!

We've been busy! Thrilled to announce that Marcus Live! Bar & Grille is now open in the American Dream center! For this B&G restaurant, we put the kitchen center stage to showcase our incredible culinary team and give guests a front-row seat to the action. We're serving up faves like our Old Bay Crab Cakes, Roller Skate Ribs, and Hot Honey Chicken & Cornbread Waffles, and we have large-format shareable options like The Garden State Jubilee. It takes a village to pull off ambitious projects so it's so gratifying when that hard work is acknowledged. In this case, we're honored with TWO NY Emmy Award nominations. Our latest EatUp!: NYC special produced with #powerhouseproductions — Rochelle Brown, Sonia Armstead and Karlitz & Company — Herb Karlitz is up for Best Magazine Program (Single Program), co-hosted once again by the amazing Bevy Smith, and our delicious Home Plate series with YES Network got a nod for Best Interview/Discussion (Short or Long Form Content).
