As temperatures rise during the summer months, we’re excited to share a recent article in ACHR NEWS that features Madison Air company, United CoolAir, and its new, innovative high-capacity portable AC units.   United CoolAir recently introduced the PACH25 and PACH 30 (25 tons and30 tons of cooling, respectively) that can be mounted either on a trailer or a skid. Each unit has six duct collars – three for supply air and three for return. Brad Dunn, vice president of sales at United CoolAir, explains, “We have expanded to larger sizes to keep up with customer demands for larger facilities or projects where much higher tonnage is required.” United CoolAir’s customer base has expanded to include warehouses and manufacturing facilities in warmer climates, as employers seek to protect the comfort and safety of their employees.   Demand for temporary environment control equipment is soaring in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings. Portable units offer relief wherever you go and deliver powerful cooling on the move.    What is fueling the market? Equipment failures, the need for backup systems and lengthy lead times for permanent replacement equipment. Demand is always greater when existing equipment breaks down during the hot summer months.    Congrats to the team at United CoolAir for delivering against a customer need with smart, innovative technology that prioritizes employee safety.    #MadisonAir #PortableAC #StayCool #BeatTheHeat #UnitedCoolAir #HVAC https://lnkd.in/gdzCYpcS

In honor of International Women in Engineering Day, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on Estefania Ortiz, Normativity Manager at Broan-NuTone. It is Estefania’s ninth year at Madison Air, and she is one of the many women in our company who continue to help build a brighter future. This day is special to her because it raises awareness for women in her field and empowers them to reach their full potential in an industry she loves.   Estefania studied industrial engineering at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. One of only two women in her group at university, she developed a passion for mathematics and problem-solving. Today, her favorite part of being an engineer is having the opportunity to develop creative solutions and overcome challenges.   Estefania’s hope is that more women pursue a career in engineering. “Being a woman does not prevent you from becoming an engineer. We have the same capabilities as men to achieve success," she says.   Today, Estefania cherishes her roles as a mother and as an engineer. Started by group president Russell Toney, the NAS Safety Ambassador Team fosters a culture of safety and well-being at our company. The ambassadors carefully evaluate the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and study every aspect of our line for potential hazards. At our Okarche facility, Mellissa Stanfor and Jake Campbell lead the charge as safety ambassadors. They meet weekly to review, assess, and implement new procedures, and with the guidance of Chris Talbott, they recently introduced Weekly Safety Alerts which have proven invaluable in keeping people vigilant.
