During National Parks and Recreation Month, we're spotlighting Cedar Hills Community Park (Beaverton, OR), one of our many beloved projects. As the lead consultant, MacKay Sposito oversaw landscape architecture, civil engineering, surveying, and construction observation. Every element of Cedar Hills Community Park was meticulously crafted with the community in mind. We take pride in contributing to a space where families gather, athletes compete, and friends connect, aligning with this year’s Park and Recreation Month theme, “Where You Belong.” This theme celebrates how park and recreation professionals nationwide foster inclusivity through welcoming programs, essential services, and safe, accessible spaces that build meaningful connections – all things we prioritize in every project we are a part of. Let's unite this July and share why local parks and recreation truly embody the essence of belonging. Together, we can highlight why these spaces are “Where You Belong”. #WhereYouBelong #ParkAndRecMonth2024 #NRPA #iampublicworks

#FieldFriday - Featuring Schlagel Park (Pasco, WA) which is the nearest public park to our Tri-Cities office. We are preparing a topographic survey design to support the replacement of approximately 600' of 48" storm sewer pipe where it discharges into the Columbia River. This will correct multiple drainage issues affecting the park. In addition to this project at Schlagel Park, we designed the boat launch and day use area improvements that were completed in 2023. #Pasco #ColumbiaRiver #TopographicSurvey #LandSurvey #iampublicworks

Please join us in congratulating Senior Engineer and Principal, Kurt Stronex, on an outstanding 40 years of service! Kurt started his career at the former Olson Engineering in 1984 as a land surveyor, then due to client demand he “simply” tacked on a professional engineering license a few years down the line. Ever since, he’s served the community as both a surveyor and an engineer on hundreds of projects. Kurt, you are a true icon. Congratulations on a monumental career! #40YearAnniversary #LandSurveyor #CivilEngineer #Planner
