LSF had a great first day at #FCCconference! We had the pleasure of hosting an LSF staff meeting during the conference where our programs in attendance got to learn a bit more about each other and LSF. Thank you Florida Coalition For Children for a great event! It has been a pleasure rising and thriving together.

LSF Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services, Inc. celebrated their second anniversary as being apart of the LSF family by hosting a spirit week for their staff and youth! The program had a week of fun honoring our partnership and their continued presence in the Miami-Dade community culminating in a party filled with summer fun. Miami Bridge's history of success in providing residential and non-residential services for at-risk youth has been a wonderful fit within our Family Focus line of programming. We are thrilled to share the incredible success of our LSF Baskets of Love donation drive! Thanks to all of our generous donors, we raised over $30,000 to benefit struggling mothers, foster parents and at-risk children! We are grateful to have received dozens of diapers, wipes, baby clothes and formula. These essential items will go a long way in helping families care for their children and provide them with the necessities they need to thrive. Your kindness and support have truly made a difference, and we cannot thank you enough. Residents at Oasis Youth Shelter were blessed with a special visitor. Former NFL safety, Tre Boston visited shelter residents and spent time hanging out and sharing words of wisdom. Tre attended North Fort Myers High school, from there he attended UNC and was eventually drafted by the North Carolina Panthers in 2014. Tre spoke with the youth about his upbringing in Fort Myers and his decision making skill which ultimately led him to making it to the NFL. He also highlighted his success and some of the challenges his environment presented to him. Tre shared his story of resilience, which is something many youth in our shelters can relate to. After speaking with the youth, he decided to hang around and spent time playing basketball and video game with the kids. Thank you for being a great role model, Tre! We are so appreciative of community members coming out and supporting our kids. To learn more about LSF's programs across the state and how you can get involved, visit https://www.lsfnet.org/
