Meet Spencer Fricke, a professional Vulkan Spec Validation expert. Spencer is in charge of making sure everything that you can't do legally in Vulkan is caught in the Vulkan Validation Layers. Sometimes that involves him walking into Working Group meetings to get everyone jumping for joy with excitement about changing some edge case in the spec based on a 15 year old legacy spec around tessellation shaders. After getting frustrated enough, he will try to help reduce the burden and pain and create entries in the Vulkan-Guide for all to see. You can also find Spencer in the SPIR-V side of Vulkan such as the SPIR-V Guide, SPIR-V Visualizer, and SPIR-V validation. Basically he puts the "fun" in IR and we are so happy that he is on our team! #ValidationLayers #WorkFamily

The answers to Tuesday's trivia questions were: c) Vulkan Validation Layer, and e) Graphics Reconstruct The Vulkan Validation Layers are indispensable for anyone developing with Vulkan. They significantly ease the development process by catching errors that could lead to crashes or undefined behavior, ensuring that your application is robust, efficient, and ready for deployment. Graphics Reconstruct (GFXReconstruct) provdes the developer with the ability to capture and replay graphics workloads - which is useful for debugging and performance analysis. #VulkanDevelopers #LunarGTrivia

Meet Mark Young , Senior Graphics Software Engineer for LunarG. Mark participated in the early development of OpenXR, and is currently working on GFXReconstruct for Vulkan and other API's. 💡Fun fact: At the age of 9, Mark began writing his own Zork-like game, using an Apple II ! This was the beginning of his love of programming. In his spare time, Mark likes to hike and bike with his wife Becky. Thank you Mark, for all you do, we are lucky to have you on the LunarG team! #OurPeople #WorkFamily

Check out what Sergey Kosarevsky has been working on at Meta. We can't wait to try these out in the future! #MetaConnect #RealityGlasses
Yesterday at #MetaConnect, Meta unveiled a product I had the privilege of working on — a groundbreaking AR glasses called "Orion." It's the most advanced AR glasses ever created to date. My contribution to Orion was working on the Vulkan RHI, which powers many of its AR experiences. I can still vividly recall joining the team 2.5 years ago and writing the very first lines of C Vulkan code for the project, but this was truly a team effort! Since then, I’ve had the honor of working with an amazing team of rendering experts who made those early efforts become a real product. The collaboration between the software and hardware people was impressive! What we’ve accomplished together is incredible! https://lnkd.in/gCmu4BP6
