🚀 European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC), hosted at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), secured funding for its activities until 2029! A new framework agreement was signed between the Government of Luxembourg and LIST during the visit of Minister for Research and Higher Education, Stéphanie Obertin, and Minister for the Economy, SMEs, Energy, and Tourism, Lex Delles. This agreement ensures €26 million in funding for ESRIC, boosting its mission in R&D, supporting economic activities, and fostering a vibrant space resources community. 🚀🌍 Based in Luxembourg, ESRIC is the world’s first innovation centre entirely dedicated to #spaceresources. Launched in 2020, it is an initiative of the Luxembourg Space Agency and LIST in strategic partnership with the European Space Agency - ESA. Delighted to visit BETA TECHNOLOGIES in Burlington (VT) on my very last business trip as ED of our Luxembourg trade office in NY. The 7 year old company is a great example of American tech and invention up north. It started manufacturing charging infrastructure and battery powered airplanes, both fixed wing and VTOL. I flew the company’s ALIA, a technologically advanced electric vertical aircraft, across Lake Champlain on a simulator. I love their creativity, including inside their huge and brand new manufacturing facility. Thank you to COO Blain Newton and Public Affairs executive Jake Goldman for showing me around. After 3 years of excitement, I’ll soon say goodbye to the lovely people and smart business professionals in the U.S. but with renewed confidence that the exchange of ideas, business practices and finance across the Atlantic continues to flourish. #aviation #battery #tech #vermont

We are very excited to share that our micro rover flight model—named TENACIOUS, embodying the small-in-stature, yet unrelenting enterprise of the rover itself and ispace-EUROPE team—has completed assembly and is being prepared for delivery to Japan and integration into the HAKUTO-R Mission 2 RESILIENCE lunar lander! As the first European designed, manufactured, and assembled lunar micro rover, we announced its completion at our ispace-EUROPE headquarters in Luxembourg.
