We've launched our new menu in all our Lounges today and we can't wait for you to try out our fantastic new dishes 😋 Our Food Development team have created some amazing new additions as well as making tweaks to current menu items before training this out across the business. First all of our Operations Managers and Chefs spent time discussing the dishes in Ritorno Lounge, Bristol, before heading back to their area and introducing the changes to their GMs and HCs. Our site managers then spent time with their teams in their Lounge, giving them the opportunity to try all the dishes. Today is International Coffee Day and here at Loungers we serve great coffee all day everyday ☕ We buy our coffee from a local supplier in Bristol, Clifton Coffee Roasters, who are a B-Corp big on ethical sourcing and buy 90% of their beans directly from origin and work to ensure that their coffee is traceable and free from exploitation. At Loungers we also have Coffee Champions across the business to ensure that we make every cup great! Head to your local Lounge today for a top-notch coffee. 

Today is the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and lots of our teams up and down the country are showing their support by holding bake sales 🍰 If you're looking for an excuse to get a sweet treat today, here is your sign! Pop down to your local Lounge for great coffee and a sweet treat, all whilst raising money for a fantastic cause. 

This weekend marked the start of Oktoberfest, so we wanted to spotlight our amazing supplier The Hofmeister Brewing Company with a throwback to the fantastic incentive trip they hosted for some lucky Loungers. We ran a social media and sales-based incentive for our Lounge teams, with 14 lucky Loungers being selected as winners. Their prize was an all-expenses paid trip to Bavaria to see where Hofmeister is brewed. The group were treated to tour around the Schwiger brewery, the home of Hofmeister, learning all about the brewing process and even getting to pour their own pint of straight from the top. The evening was spent at a local beer festival for a night of traditional German food and steins as well as live music and dancing the night away on tables. On the final day the group enjoyed a leisurely lunch at the Schwiger Brau Haus along with Bavarian style games such a stein holding. It was a truly magical few days getting to see where the fantastic Hofmeister is brewed and great to meet the lovely folks at Hofmeister who create the magic! #lovelounging #oktoberfest #hofmeister

We recently held a celebration for our LoungeAid Champions in Bristol with our champions coming from Lounges across the country to take part in a treasure hunt and spend the day enjoying dinner, drinks and an awards ceremony to celebrate their fantastic fundraising achievements 🎉 LoungeAid takes place every June and this year’s Champions went above and beyond hosting events and completing fundraising activities all to raise as much money as possible for local causes close to their hearts in their communities. The bar has been set high this year and we can’t wait to see what our teams get up to in December for LoungeAid at Christmas. This week we opened Lounge number 232, Potro Lounge in Newmarket 🏇 Loungers open a new site approximately every 10 days (35 per year) with more in the pipeline across future years. As a result of this, we have created a new role within the Development team. We are looking to recruit a Development Manager to join our team to proactively support the Head of Development and lead the management of the Loungers new site Development Delivery process, ensuring all Lounges are delivered in line with current brand and legislative standards, on time and to budget. With a pipeline of circa 35 new openings per year, this role will manage more than fifty projects concurrently, so experience of fast-paced, high volume, pipeline delivery is essential. We work across a diverse range of properties including High Streets, Retail Parks and listed buildings such as Banks and churches. Experience across all these property types would be advantageous. This role is a field based national role, which will include frequent travel, some overnight stays, and weekly visits to our Bristol HQ.
