While visiting Los Angeles Regional Food Bank partner agency Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry, Connie recently shared her experience. With high grocery prices, she struggles to afford food for herself and her household. She extends her appreciation for the opportunity to access essential food resources, sharing that, at that moment, she didn't have food in her refrigerator. Thanks to the support of the community, Connie and many others don't have to compromise their nutritional needs despite their situation. Together, #WeFeedLA.

Giovanna, a food recipient caring for her family of five, shared her story with the LA Regional Food Bank at a recent distribution in Santa Clarita. “Seeing the rising prices is hard. With $20, I can only purchase one item instead of the four to six that it used to be able to cover. Utilizing the food from the Food Bank helps me provide for my family with fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, milk and eggs. With the money I save here, I am able to pay the utilities bill. I appreciate what you are doing to provide for us.” Thank you to everyone who help make food distributions like the one Giovanna attends possible. Together, #WeFeedLA.

Seniors are among the most vulnerable populations to struggle with food insecurity. The rising costs of food, rent, utilities and everyday necessities make it difficult for seniors to survive on a fixed income. Many skip meals or medications to make it through the month.
